Volunteer with IPSAC

Dear all,

I would like to introduce you to our non-profit surgical organization and efforts. Check out the IPSAC-VN.ORG website. The site is incomplete and is being built but has links to our mission statement, our past mission trips and what we are trying to accomplish.

Mark and I will bring a small team Nov 7-14 to give a symposium and sign an official memorandum of understanding with the hospital director and surgeon-in-chief at Children’s Hospital #1, the primary 1000-bed children’s hospital of VN in Saigon to start an exchange program there. The US consular general will be invited to this signing event.

I have been blessed with talents from many from all over the US and Canada, volunteering their time, talents, hearts, …

We will return in April-May 2010 to do more surgery and teaching. Since this is mission work, the organization has the policy that  volunteers are responsible for his/her expenses. This even applies to well-known international guest surgeons which I will be bringing over with our biyearly trips.

Regardless of your abilities, I encourage you to come if you can. Your help will be always needed, language, baby swadling or holding or organizational skills.

Please let me know if you are interested in coming anytime.
